site-specific performance and installation, Mixed media, Volagoanj (Stone crasher and export import area), Sylhet, Bangladesh, 2014

Volagoanj is a place especially known as Stone Mine, where India and Bangladesh do the business of export-import. Most of those people from the border side are directly or indirectly involved with that stone activity. They use local and industrial vehicles for export-import, and all of those vehicles’ tires leave a print on the road. To represent those people’s relation with stone and print of their movement inspired me to create this site-specific presentation. In Fig. 1, is durational performance In-front of stop crusher machine. In Fig. 2, there was one big tire, which I bought from a local shop and cut as a flat way. And I also made a new wheel from their local material. Fig- 3, there were workers’ fingerprints on the stone, and that stone was carried to them. Also, there was one used tool, which I collected from them by giving a new one.
